MailWorthy legal
Privacy Policy
Effective August 13, 2026
This policy explains how MailWorthy collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you create physical postcards, connect social accounts, configure automations, or open QR keepsakes.
1. Information we collect
We collect account details such as your name and email; sender and return-address settings; recipient aliases, mailing addresses, claim preferences, and delivery details; postcard images, messages, source links, QR tokens, and order history; credit-gift sender and recipient emails; automation rules and connected social-account identifiers; and support communications. We may also collect basic device, browser, usage, and error information needed to operate and secure the service.
2. Payments
Our secure payment provider may collect payment-card, billing, fraud-prevention, and transaction information under its own privacy policy. MailWorthy receives transaction identifiers, status, product, and amount, but does not store full payment-card numbers.
3. How we use information
We use information to create proofs; print, mail, and track postcards; maintain QR keepsakes; run requested automations; connect and publish through social accounts; process payments and credits; send order, claim, and service messages; provide support; prevent abuse; diagnose errors; and improve MailWorthy.
4. How we share information
We share only what is reasonably necessary with trusted service providers that support printing and delivery, secure payments, transactional email, connected-account features, hosting, and security. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer. We do not sell personal information.
5. Recipient privacy and QR keepsakes
Recipient address claims are designed to limit unnecessary exposure of street addresses, but authorized processing providers still need address data to produce and deliver mail. QR tokens do not intentionally contain names or addresses. Anyone with a postcard or its QR link may be able to open the linked keepsake, so senders should avoid sensitive content.
6. Social connections and automations
When you connect a social account, we receive the account identifiers, profile details, permissions, posts, or media needed for the features you request. We do not ask for your social password. You can disconnect an account from MailWorthy, and you may also revoke access through the social platform. Scheduled rules may continue using previously selected content until paused or removed.
7. Retention and security
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain transaction and mailing records, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and protect against abuse. Retention periods vary by data type. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no online service or postal process can guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices
You may update account and return-address settings, disconnect social accounts, pause automations, and manage recipient preferences in MailWorthy. Recipients may use available claim controls to update, decline, pause, or revoke address use. You may request help accessing, correcting, or deleting personal information through the Help Center, subject to legal and operational retention requirements.
9. Children and international use
MailWorthy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. The service is operated from the United States, and information may be processed there and in other locations where our providers operate.
10. Updates and contact
We may update this policy as MailWorthy changes. We will post the revised policy and effective date here. For privacy questions or requests, email support@mailworthy.app.
